GradPal is always looking to attract more talent in order to expand both our network and your network. If you want to plug in and earn, please use the button below. Keep reading below for more information about joining the GradPal team and community.
(Note that forms may take a few moments to load)
Undergraduates and Graduates looking to register as volunteers should use the button above.
Interested high school and private school students should use the button below to register as a volunteer.
GradPal accepts exceptionally qualified students from top universities in the US, UK, and Canada. Registrants must have been accepted and enrolled in at least one degree program at the undergraduate, masters, or PhD level to be considered (this includes current student and alumni). The full list of accepted universities can be found in the last tab on this page.
All GradPal members are independent contractors who are able to select the opportunities that they are interested in according to their own schedule.
Registrants go through the form and provide all answers necessary. The form consists of several selections and short answer questions, and give the registrant the chance to discuss their academic strengths and extracurriculars, provide information on their professional careers, upload their resume, attach a profile photo, and link their LinkedIn. If the registrant looks promising, they may be accepted directly or be contacted for a 10-15 minute interview.
If you don't hear from us immediately, no need to worry. When opportunities arise that fit your stated skillset we will reach out to you!
If an registration is accepted then the registrant will have successfully joined the GradPal team and community - congratulations!
Now, what happens next? The new member will then receive opportunities passively. When a student or client has a request that matches a particular GradPal member's set of skills and experiences, that member will be contacted to see if they are interested in that client and opportunity. This allows members to earn when it is convenient for them, without risking their own academic or professional pursuits.
Most GradPal members earn base on their skill sets, subject matter/particulars, prior work experience, and length of time with GradPal. Before any tutoring occurs, you will always be notified of how much you will make per hour or per assignment/project/task.
The absolute minimum for our team is $30/hr. We will not entertain opportunities for our team members below this amount. For certain in-demand subjects, such as CS, tutors can expect to make a premium that is in line with competitive internships in the field.
Clients are also able to submit custom requests, meaning that there is no upper limit on member earnings depending on the details of the work or project.
Please notes that rates may vary for tutors affiliated with non-US/Canada/UK universities and residing outside of the United States.
If accepted we are incredibly excited to welcome you to our team here at GradPal!
GradPal members are not considered employees, but are instead considered to be independent contractors. As such, GradPal does not offer insurance, healthcare, a set number of working hours, severance, etc.
However, because members are independent contractors, that means that members are able to work as much or as little as they would like, determine their own working schedules and the subjects that they offer, and have flexibility regarding how they perform their lessons.
